Team Mizuno
"Team
Mizuno" is a team consisting of elite high school softball
players who just completed their freshmen, sophomore, or junior
softball season. Team Mizuno will be comprised of the best
softball players that participated in the Midwest Fastpitch
Softball Showcase. Team Mizuno will participate in the Sparks
College Exposure Tournament in July.
This event will provide each player the opportunity to play against other top players from other states from all around the country. It will also provide them an excellent forum to showcase their talent in front of college coaches from across the nation. This event will typically draw anywhere from 100 to 150 college coaches looking to recruit players for their softball programs. It is easily considered one of the top three softball college exposure tournaments in the nation.
In order to be eligible for Team Mizuno, a player must have participated in the Midwest Fastpitch Softball Showcase and been recognized by the coaching staff as one of the top players there. Our goal is to put together the most talented team possible, very likely from many different states, and perform at a very high level at the Sparks tournament. The better the team plays, the more college coaches come and watch the players. With over 90 teams participating in the Sparks Tournament each year, it becomes difficult for coaches to watch each team, so they follow the teams that are performing the best and this usually means the teams that are winning most of their games.
By selecting the top players from the Midwest Fastpitch Softball Showcase, there is no doubt Team Mizuno will be quite talented each year and draw interest from many of the coaches at the Sparks tournament.
Our staff will contact the players that are being considered
for Team Mizuno and provide them with further details about
this exciting opportunity.
