Testimonials

My son, Steve Boucher, participated in the 2006 Combine, and I would like to add our thanks to your program. Steve played his high school ball in a small school, Wayland Academy, and the high level competition and "arena" at the tryouts and Combine were excellent experiences for Steve, and helped him see what he could do. He did get some contacts from college coaches who had been at the Combine, and that was nice of course. For us the real value from the Combine was seeing we should focus on D-2 and D-3 programs, and we found two colleges in each division that really matched well with Steve. We liked all four schools very much; it was a tough choice for us, but in the end, Ripon College was the best match. His mom and I are very excited and proud for Steve, and he likes the College a lot. So, thanks again, for your program. It was very special and helpful to us and our son.
Kris Boucher- Beaver Dam WI

Just a quick note. What a great job you & your staff do @ this event! Very impressive. Whether a kid goes onto the majors, or is done with organized ball after his senior year, that is something they will never forget. Keep up the great work!
Jerry Pilecky

The combine was an amazing experience and thank you and everyone else involved for
holding this event and having it run so smoothly. Thanks again.
Matt Bremseth

Thanks for the info and your time in putting this together. What a great time for the kids at such a beautiful complex. We appreciate the time your staff put in to making this happen. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Bill & Adair Flaherty

Thank you for giving my son, Haakon Pederson from Bemidji, the opportunity to participate in your 2 day event. We both felt it was quite worth while & fun.
Diana Pederson

Gentlemen, thanks for putting on a fun camp last week. My son Tom Bertrand had a great time. Wow, what a great event for my son to have been involved in!!! Thanks for this opportunity!!
Wendy Duenow- MN

I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a name for myself and being seen by many coaches. It means a lot. It was a great experience!!
Lane Lloyd- WI

Thanks for your work putting together the WI and MN combines. There were a lot of quality kids there and I know it didn’t happen overnight.
Bob Keeney- Butler University

I have been around competitive baseball as a high school player, Division 1 collegiate player, and semi-pro amateur player for 11 years. I have been coaching at the high school level for over 15 years. I have witnessed many baseball organizations that promise to showcase kids and give them the opportunity to "be seen". Many of these "businesses" do a good job at skill testing young players but they also charge a somewhat hefty price. The problem is what happens next? At most of these "skill testing" events there are very few if any coaches or scouts present to see the make-up, intensity, integrity and other intangibles that make up "the baseball player".

Showtime Sports is a business that is in business to truly showcase the high school baseball player in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The entire process from tryout, to making the combine, to competition on Team Wisconsin is economically fair, honest, up front, and beneficial for the high school player. College coaches and pro scouts know that when they come to a Showtime Sports event they are going be pleased to see the best players that Wisconsin has to offer.

Players that are chosen to participate at the 150 player combine receive a fair and equitable opportunity to show themselves in front of over 40 colleges and 10 or more professional scouts. The feature that sets Showtime Sports apart from the other "businesses" that are out there is that at the combine players not only partake in the skills testing phase but they also participate in two games at the positions they see themselves playing the best. Players are able to show their make-up, intensity, integrity and other intangibles that make them a baseball player. The experience is wonderful for scouts and coaches and even better for the players because they see first hand what the competition is like and who they have to beat out in order to be chosen to the elite Team Wisconsin squad.

I highly recommend that all high school junior baseball players tryout at a Showtime Sports event that are held each spring in an area near you. Since the tryout site may not be held at your local high school, it is worth the drive to the tryout at the high school closest to you.

If you have any questions about a Showtime Sports event that you would rather approach me with, feel free to do so. Otherwise, good luck with your baseball career and we'll see you on the baseball field.
Sincerely Yours in Baseball,
Matt LaBuda, Head Baseball Coach - Kenosha Bradford High School

I just want to say thank you for a wonderful experience this summer. After all the traveling last summer and all the tournaments Jared played in. I have to say the most enjoyable was the Midwest Classic Tournament. Great coaching, Great players, and Great exposure. It was really fun to be apart of all that.
John Andreoli

I cannot begin to thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to try out and make Team Wisconsin. The weekend in Barrington was my most beneficial and most profitable weekend of my junior year. The number of college and pro scouts exceeded any other tournament that I've played in. I understand I helped myself out by playing well, but without all the hard-work and preparation by all of the coaches, my opportunity to play in such a prestigious tourney would not have existed. The coaches put all of the players in position to be successful and our record showed it, winning the tournament overall.

The tourney in Barrington gave me the confidence I needed to vault myself into my fall ball. After Team Wisconsin my mailbox was full every day, I was contacted by schools from the Big East, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Horizon, Big 10, ACC, and more. I have decided on playing baseball in the Big 10 at the University of Iowa. I feel that it is a great fit for me academically as well as athletically, giving me the chance to take my game to the next level. There is no doubt in my, or my parent's mind that trying out for Team Wisconsin is the best thing any junior looking to play post-high school baseball could do for himself. It was always my dream to play division 1 baseball, thanks to Team Wisconsin and all of the coaches and great people involved, my dream has come true. Any questions involving Team Wisconsin and the Showtime Sports experience please feel free to contact my parents, Mark or Cheryl, or myself at (920) 822-3306.
Chett Zeise - Green Bay, WI

Our son, Kyle, had the good fortune to participate in the Showtime
Sports Combine in 2007. Here's what happened. Kyle was not able to
attend the La Crosse area tryout which is near our home in Onalaska,
Wisconsin, however, because of your flexible tryout schedule, he was
able to attend the tryout in Eau Claire, WI. Kyle was then invited to
the Combine in Kenosha. There were many college coaches and MLB Scouts
in attendance. They were there to evaluate all the High School Junior
class baseball players. After the Combine, Kyle was chosen to play for
Team Wisconsin. This was a great honor since only 15 players were
chosen out of the 144 in attendance. Team Wisconsin played in the
Midwest Classic Baseball Tournament in Barrington, Illinois, in August.
At this tournament, there were more college coaches and MLB Scouts.

Bill, because of all the exposure Kyle received during the summer
playing at the Combine, and on Team Wisconsin, he now has a scholarship
to play baseball as a two-way player at Western Carolina University in
Cullowhee, North Carolina.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for helping Kyle fulfill his
dream of playing Division-1 baseball for a college in the warm weather
south.

We would recommend all serious baseball players in Wisconsin should attend the Showtime Sports Combine. One of the things we learned from attending a Combine is the fact that there are colleges of all levels for players of varied ability. There is a baseball program for everyone!
Roger and Kay Stewart - Onalaska, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin High School Baseball Combine and Team Wisconsin were the best experiences we have had in baseball. We wondered if the number and quality of scouts and recruiters would live up to the claims that many "Baseball Showcases" make. It definitely did! We received alot of recognition and interest following both of these events. The coaches and organizers of Showtime Sports were great to the kids and their follow up throughout the year was terrific. It was fun and we met some great people. We would highly recommend it to any junior serious about their future in baseball.

"Showtime Sports is more than just a one day combine, it is a direct avenue to the next levels of baseball, College and Professional."

Hello, My name is Mitchell Kuhn from Beaver Dam, WI. This past summer (2006) my son Collin Kuhn attended a Showtime Sports baseball combine tryout in Verona, WI. It was a very well run combine testing athletes in many areas. Collin had a very good showing at the tryout. He was selected to participate in the actual combine in Kenosha, WI and play games for two days in front of college coaches and pro scouts. I did not know what to expect. I was shocked to see who was there. Scouts from the Braves, Devil Rays, Phillies, Cubs and Brewers and all those college coaches. Arkansas, Iowa, Northern Iowa, Northern Michigan, Blackburn, Penn State, Jacksonville, Illinois State, Minnesota State, Minnesota, Evansville, Arkansas Little Rock and many more. This is where your child will be seen by the best programs and teams in baseball. They have plenty of opportunity to showcase themselves playing two games in two days. And there is more, they can move on from here.

Collin was chosen to play for team Wisconsin. The top players from the Combine games in Kenosha make this team. He played against teams from Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. The games were played in Barrington, IL. This was a great time. Again more scouts and college coaches. Games played are very competitive and exciting. You get to see the top high school players in the Midwest. I like the way the games are played. Everyone gets to play, yes everyone. Equal time for all. Aside from the baseball it is a great opportunity for your child and you to meet new people and make new friends. I know Collin and my entire family will not forget this opportunity.

The commitment is small because the reward can be big. Collin signed a NLI to play Baseball for the University of Arkansas in 2008. He got a scholarship from them. If Collin did not go to the Showtime Sports combine I would not be writing this today. Take advantage of the program, it is the Best in the Midwest!!!!

Thanks to Bill Grams and all the staff at Showtime Sports. You make dreams come true.

Dear Bill and John:

The baseball camps you offer provide the unique situation of bringing student-athletes together from big and small programs. They learn to work and communicate with their peers as well as working with top quality instructors. As a former staff member for Showtime Sports and a mangaer in the minor leagues for the Houston Astros, I can vouch for each and every individual that works with the participants.

You have become an integral part of baseball in Wisconsin and Minnesota and your commitment and dedication makes this program work. Participants will receive quality individual attention from these instructors. I only wish I could have been provided this opportunity during my high school years.

Gregg Langbehn, Houston Astros

I recently attended the Wisconsin High School Baseball Combine. Within the last few weeks, a few colleges have contact me and are interested in my baseball information. I really appreciate the opportunity that you and your staff provided for me through the combine. Without this combine, I believe that I may have been left behind and gone unnoticed by college coaches. Thank you once again for everything.
Joel Delorit- Southern Door WI

I'd like to thank you for choosing me to play on Team Wisconsin. To play with such awesome players is something that I don't get to see much being from the north and playing at a small school. These events have really opened a lot of doors for me, as far as colleges, and I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity.
Jamie Soyk- Abbotsford WI

The opportunity that I had not only to work with such talented kids, but also with outstanding coaches was a thrill for me. What I truly appreciate about what you do at Showtime Sports is how you give kids who love baseball and are talented the opportunity to shine, and hopefully play at the next level. Observing what you have done with the tryouts, the combine, and Team Wisconsin have shown me that it is all about the kids. Thank you on behalf of all these kids and coaches for your dedication to Wisconsin Baseball.
